An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Litigation Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE to join a well-established and highly respected law firm with over 70 years’ experience serving clients across the Havering area.
This is much more than a traditional litigation role. You’ll have the opportunity to manage your own varied caseload, work closely with experienced litigators, develop your own area of expertise and play a key role in the continued growth of the department.

You will handle a broad and interesting range of contentious matters, including:
- Contentious probate and inheritance disputes
- Breach of contract claims
- Professional negligence
- Commercial litigation
- Landlord & tenant disputes
- Property and building disputes
- Debt recovery and insolvency
- General civil litigation
You’ll also have the opportunity to supervise junior team members, work directly with clients and counsel, prepare matters for hearings and trials, and become increasingly involved in business development and networking.
The ideal candidate
We’re looking for a solicitor who:
- Has 3+ years’ PQE and strong general litigation experience
- Enjoys a varied and client-focused caseload
- Has excellent drafting, negotiation and case management skills
- Has advocacy experience, ideally
- Is confident dealing directly with clients and counsel
- Wants to develop their career and take on responsibility
- Has an interest in business development and building client relationships
- Is professional, personable and commercially minded
- Has LEAP experience (desirable, but not essential)
