Our client is an multi-office regional law firm that is Legal 200 by revenue and recognised as top tier in multiple areas of law by the Legal 500 directory. This firm is looking for a 3–5-year PQE Family Associate to join the team providing legal service to HNW clients on all aspects of divorce, financial matters, cohabitation agreements, and mediation. Accessible by car or rail from London, they offer an excellent work/life balance while maintaining a high-quality client base.
The role
This role involves providing a high-quality legal service to HNW and UHNW clients across all aspects of family law matters:
Manage a caseload of matters including divorce, spousal maintenance, coercive behaviour, cohabitation agreements, financial matters, domestic violence, family mediation, pre-nups and post-nups and legal separation. Assist senior solicitors and partners when necessary. Manage and supervise junior members of staff. Analyse information and reach sound decisions. Understand and adhere to instructions. Communicate succinctly both orally and in writing. Research appropriate case law and technical and legal precedents to progress matters.
What they are looking for
UK Qualified Solicitor 3-5 years PQE with experience in a reputable family law team. Strong academics from a reputable university. Proven business development skills. Good technical grounding in family law Flexibility with the ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining the highest quality standards and attention to details. Previous experience in managing people within a team and supporting junior members of staff (desirable) in developing and widening their own career progression and legal experience. A clear awareness of the need to develop business with experience in marketing and promoting expertise to attract work and further opportunities.
