An international US firm with over 40 offices spanning 5 continents is looking for an experienced Associate to expand their competition team in London. The team sees varied antitrust, Competition, and Trade Regulation matters including abuse of dominance, monopolization, cartel investigations, and foreign aid.
This US firm offers an excellent work/life balance, with billing targets lower than Silver Circle UK firms and good flexible working available. This opportunity is perfect for a developing solicitor from a reputable UK or US firm that is looking to continue their growth and career progression in a very reputable firm without sacrificing their home life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied caseload of competition matters.
- Assisting partners and senior lawyers with their caseload of files.
- Developing junior members of staff and other legal professionals.
- Giving input for the development of the department.
- Accurately recording time in the firm’s case management system.
- Dealing directly with clients and maintaining the highest standard of care, taking instructions and ensuring full compliance.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- UK Qualified with 2-3 years PQE experience.
- Demonstrated track record with high-quality competition matters within a national or international law firm.
- Experience managing a caseload of competition and anti-trust matters with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills with colleagues and members of staff.
- High levels of attention to detail.
