A well-known Legal 500 firm is offering an exciting opportunity to join their growing construction team in their Reading office. This team assists with both contentious and non-contentious construction issues, with a significant amount of interesting dispute resolution work. Responsibilities:
This role involves providing a high-quality legal service across all aspects of construction law:
- Manage a caseload of matters including JCT and NEC contracts, drafting of warranties, bonds, and guarantees, management of proceedings in the Technology and Construction court, advising of key clients, and construction relevant professional negligence matters.
- Assist senior members of staff including senior solicitors and Partners.
- Supervise junior members of staff.
- Research appropriate case law and technical and legal precedents to progress matters.
- Clearly communicate with colleagues and clients including client partners.
Skills and Experience:
- UK qualified Solicitor ideally with 2-3 PQE of experience (although other levels of PQE will be considered).
- Expertise with contentious and non-contentious private client matters, ideally from a national UK firm.
- Proven experience on meeting deadline and targets.
- Strong academic background.
- Good interpersonal skills and a passionate personality with an enthusiasm for personal and team development.
