A west-end boutique, with a strong focus or corporate clients is looking to bring a Solicitor into their busy Employment team. The firm is mid-sized, with over a dozen qualified Solicitors and a significant amount of support staff. Their employment team handles a varied and high-quality caseload including international, European and UK clients (employers and employees) on matters including employment disputes, redundancies, TUPE, unfair dismissal, discrimination, and whistleblowing claims.
The team is headed up around a Legal 500 recommended Partner that previously grew their practice in a similar Legal 500 (London) recommended boutique. This position is an amazing opportunity to join this experienced Partner in growing their team and working at the top of the employment field, on a caseload that changes day to day. With a competitive salary and a benefits scheme available on request, this isn’t an opportunity for a developing Solicitor to miss out on!
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a caseload of employments matters, including employer and employee matters on a contentious and non-contentious basis, with supervision from Partners.
- Assist the Head of Department on larger matters, working closely on a day-to-day basis.
- Attend tribunals when necessary, assisting clients from initiation to conclusion.
- Deliver outstanding client service, with relationship building and a sound understanding of client requirements.
- Assist with the continued development of the team and greater firm.
Skills and Experience:
- UK qualified Employment Solicitor with 1 – 5 years PQE (other levels will be considered but are unlikely to succeed) from a reputable firm.
- A demonstrated track record with good quality employment law, with experience to include both claimant and respondent clients.
- Technically strong, with a good academic background.
- A passionate personality with an enthusiasm for personal development and strong interpersonal skills.
