An established and highly respected East London law firm is looking to recruit a Legal Aid Children Solicitor to join its thriving family team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-standing practice with a strong reputation in publicly funded family work. The firm is open to solicitors with a minimum of 1 year’s PQE, and applications are welcomed from both qualified solicitors and Children Panel Accredited Solicitors. There is particular interest in individuals who undertake Guardian work, although this is not essential.
The Role
You will handle a busy and rewarding caseload including:
- Public law children’s matters
- Care proceedings
- Private children matter
- Acting primarily for parents
- Legal Aid funded work
The team is well established, experienced, and highly regarded for its client-focused approach. Due to continued growth and ongoing demand, they are keen to welcome another solicitor into the department.

The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 1 years’ experience in children law
- Experience handling care proceedings and private children work
- Strong advocacy and client care skills
- Ability to manage a busy caseload with appropriate supervision
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach
