About You
- A qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (3+ PQE)
- Member of, or working towards, the Law Society’s Children or Family Law Accreditation
- Strong experience across public children cases, private children disputes, and challenging care proceedings
- Confident supervising, motivating, and developing a team
- Able to manage your own caseload while ensuring team compliance and performance
- Highly organised, proactive, and detail‑focused
- Proficient with legal aid processes and the CCMS portal, including managing CCMS portal applications and navigating CCMS portal requirements

The Role
- Lead and supervise Solicitors, Trainees, and Paralegals
- Foster a supportive, collaborative, high‑performing team culture
- Deliver exceptional client care across public children matters, private children disputes, and complex care proceedings
- Manage your own caseload independently, including advocacy where appropriate
- Instruct counsel, agents, and experts effectively
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and file‑management standards
- Support training, development, and mentoring across the team
- Contribute to departmental planning, audits, and continuous improvement
